After serving us so well for so long, the current Whitenoise site will be replaced from tonight with a shiny new responsive version, which should look lovely on all your iPhones and iPads, as well as desktop computers.
This is, therefore, the last post (ho ho ho) from me on this site. Fear not though – all archived posts (and the amazing work they contain) going all the way back to September 2008 will still be available for your viewing pleasure.
Bear with us while we’re settling and nailing down any loose trim, and let us know what you think…
Today we were honoured to have Peter Strain at the Whitenoise Studio to sign and number his artwork for the Cultural Olympiad posters complete with certificate and Hahnemuhle hologram seal of authenticity.
Its not every day a client asks us to commission a commemorative illustration. However that’s not the case for the Arts Council who have been working with Nic all year producing lots of lovely stuff for the 2012 Olympiad festivals…
It’s been an exciting few weeks in Whitenoise studios, not only have we been working hard to produce more lovely work to show you, but we have also acquired two new additions to the team. Introducing the very talented Mr Riccardo Sitler, and Miss Laura Caughey, a recent graduate who is working with us until early next year. A big Whitenoise welcome to both of them!
Also this month, always willing to help new talent along and to share our expertise with others, Lynsay and Paul gave a very well received lecture to the final year Vis. Com. students at the University of Ulster about “a day in the life of Whitenoise”.
Speaking of Lynsay, she has been a busy bee, creating this gorgeous new programme for the Autumn season at the Grand Opera House.
Meanwhile, Steven has been producing another lovely Drinks Inc. brochure.
Steven has also been creating this beautiful signage for the Glasgow Christmas Market.
So as you can see, everything is starting to go all Christmassy here at Whitenoise. Ryan and Niall’s fantastic animated advertisement for Armagh City at Christmas is getting us all in the festive mood. Click the image below to view on Youtube, enjoy!
It’s been a while as we’ve got our heads down with various clients, including in no particular order, a certain high street bank that’s currently rebranding. Here’s the tip of the iceberg: a small sampling of 2,300 goodie bags we’re currently assembling…
Meanwhile Nic Scott has busy on a slightly smaller scale rebrand for Think Fit Gyms. Same high Whitenoise standards of course…
Looking good. Talking of rebrand, Whitenoise has been undergoing a rebrand ‘by stealth’ over the last few days (keep checking back for our new website which goes live in the next few weeks), oh, and look, here’s our new brochure, with a lovely photo of two very talented and handsome men! Who could they be? (answers on a postcard).
That’s your lot for now. Keep checking back for more.

Congratulations to Alix and her new arrival! All 8lb 8oz of baby Alexander Robert Britton was born on Friday at 4.56am and they’re both looking fine. Well done Alix – hurry back!
It’s Monday, our seventh favourite day of the week. Well, shake off those Monday morning blues with a blast of great new design!
Our nice new update starts with Nic’s epic new branding project for East Belfast Mission. EBM have been doing amazing work in East Belfast since the 1800’s and have grown considerably into a large organisation, still transforming and renewing in the area. The organisation is just about to move into it’s purpose built ‘Skainos Project’ which is is a flagship redevelopment scheme on a brownfield site in the Ballymacarrett area of East Belfast. And along with many different brands and schemes running right across the organisation, it was time for a re-brand!
More work from Nic, this time for Co-Operation Ireland and their new Part to Play scheme.
Steven has been busy with some lovely new brochures and catalogues lately. Check out the beautiful new SlideRobes brochure.
And Steven’s Annual Report for the great folks at Groundwork Northern Ireland.
Sticking with Steven, another beautifully crafted Drinks Inc catalogue has just rolled off the press.
And rounding off this Monday morning post, a few new projects from Paul, starting with a new Educational Tours brochure for our friends at Ulsterbus.
And Paul’s new Audience Review brochure for Audiences Northern Ireland
And finally, did you know Paul also designs house boats? Check out his type stylings on this lovely barge. Have a great week, see you all soon!
At Whitenoise we like to do things a bit differently, so when one of our clients ‘Art & Home’ asked if we wanted to design our own cow for the Holywood Cow Parade we jumped at the opportunity. We’ll be posting updates on the progress of our cow and we already have some whacky ideas, though we don’t think Mark C’s idea of a ‘war cow’ with missiles and lifting jets is quite right…
Value Cabs needed a new campaign for their Free Taxi Thursdays promo, so called on Whitenoise to work our magic.
The deal is if you book a taxi on a Thursday and one of the specially branded vehicles arrives your journey is totally free – result!
A great idea, and a great piece of design…
